Farmer’s In-Fill Was Landfill

A circuit court properly enjoined a farmer from filling in parts of his land to create additional pastures for his livestock, the Court of Special Appeals held last month.<br /><br />Laws and regulations governing solid waste disposal without a landfill permit applied to the farmer’s activities, even though he did not have a “public purpose” in accepting landfill material, the appellate court held.
