Sale of former aircraft factory delayed by preservation talks (access required)

The sale of a huge former aircraft factory in Middle River is being delayed because of talks dealing with historical preservation.<@SM><@SM><TAB>The Maryland Historical Trust, an arm of the state Department of Housing and Community Development, is trying to place an easement on the property that would prohibit changes not approved by the trust. The 1.9 million-square-foot-building, commonly known as the Depot, was used by the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Co. to produce bombers during World War II.
