Joining other Md. hospitals, St. Joseph upgrades baby unit (access required)

St. Joseph Medical Center has become the latest Maryland hospital to renovate and expand its neonatal intensive care unit, or NICU, with a $3.2 million project set to open in late summer.<br /><br />Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring also have reconfigured their NICUs of late, not only adding space but — in accordance with trends in neonatal intensive care — enhancing the quality of that space for babies and their families.
