More volunteer help at hospitals

Volunteer numbers are up at area hospitals, thanks to Maryland’s 7.3 percent jobless rate. At the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, volunteers logged 95,749 hours of work during the Towson-based hospital’s fiscal 2009, which ended June 30.
