Sucampo Pharmaceuticals cuts losses

Sucampo Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Bethesda, a biopharmaceutical company, reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $1.3 million, or 3 cents per diluted share, versus a net loss of $3 million, or 7 cents per diluted share, for the year-ago period.
