Three Baltimore-area big box stores that used to hold Boscov’s are set to be auctioned off in mid-September.
The retail chain vacated the sites, in White Marsh, Owings Mills and Marley Station, in 2008 when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Since then, the old Boscov’s stores have remained vacant, even though they serve as large anchors at each mall.
The auction is scheduled for Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. on the steps of the Baltimore County Courthouse in Towson.
The White Marsh Mall store is a two-story, 219,996-square-foot building that used to hold Macy’s. In Owings Mills, the former Boscov’s was located in a three-story, 293,060-square-foot building. The Marley Station store was a three-story, 274,050-square-foot structure.
Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Inc. has served as manager for the properties since they were closed as part of the bankruptcy proceedings. Boscov’s exited Chapter 11 last year.
