Constellation Energy Group Inc. of Baltimore said Friday it plans to acquire energy management and demand response provider CPower.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CPower, headquartered in New York, designs and manages programs that allow commercial, utility and public sector companies to reduce energy use during peak periods. Constellation Senior Vice President Kathleen Hyle said the acquisition will expand the Baltimore company’s presence in key markets such as Texas and New England.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
