ANNAPOLIS — Former Republican Rep. Wayne Gilchrest is crossing party lines to endorse Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley in his rematch with former Gov. Robert Ehrlich.

Gilchrest, a moderate Republican, commended O’Malley on Tuesday for his environmental policies.

It’s not the first time Gilchrest has crossed party lines to endorse a Democrat. After Gilchrest lost in the GOP’s 2008 primary to state Sen. Andrew Harris, he endorsed Democrat Frank Kratovil, who ended up barely defeating Harris.

Gilchrest held Maryland’s 1st District congressional seat that includes the Eastern Shore for nine terms.

Same old story…these people will go to extremes to save their “jobs” and continue to bleed the public dry with their pork projects, and they will be just as corrupt when they switch as they were before. Think about this: A vote for Kratovil, Gilchrist, “Gov” Owe Mouthy, and the rest of the corrupt democrat party, is like a bunch of chickens voting for Colonel Sanders.
