Renegade, a full service marketing company, of Hunt Valley, recently won a Silver Award in the 27th Annual Mark Awards, a Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing competition that recognizes achievement and excellence in marketing from networks, cable companies, and their agencies.

The Anne Arundel Health System board of trustees has named two new members for the upcoming year: June Caudill is president of the AAMC Auxiliary, and co-owner of Landscapes by Keith. She has been volunteering at AAMC since 1996, serving in the oncology and women’s and children’s units; Dr. Maulik S. Joshi is president of Health Research & Education Trust and senior vice president for research at the American Hospital Association. He has served as president and chief executive officer of the Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement and vice president of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, among other positions. The officers of the AAHS board are: George Moran, chair; Biana Arentz, vice chair; Richard Morgan, treasurer; and Patricia Roche, secretary.
Lucas Matesa, senior manager in the Reznick Group’s Baltimore office, has been appointed to the board of directors for Project PLASE Inc., which addresses homelessness in Baltimore by providing transitional housing, permanent housing and supportive services to homeless adults. Matesa provides audit and accounting services, representing clients locally and nationally in multifamily residential real estate, real estate investment trusts, commercial real estate, the mortgage broker industry, nonprofits, health and human service organizations; and state and local government agencies.

In an effort to decrease child sexual abuse, Baltimore Child Abuse Center is launching a regional prevention effort focused on awareness and community education with Brooke Poklemba, formerly Miss Maryland 2009 and a community spokesperson, as its outreach and prevention coordinator. Poklemba will work with schools, churches, community centers, and businesses to share information on topics surrounding child sexual abuse. This effort, funded in large part by the No More Stolen Childhoods, a nonprofit organization, will offer educational programs for parents, professionals, and children of all ages.
