ANNAPOLIS — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown says Maryland is largely on track in preparing for an influx of 60,000 jobs by 2015 due to military base realignment.

He details the progress in a report released Friday.

Brown chairs a state subcabinet facing a September 2011 deadline for achieving goals to meet increased demands for transportation, housing, education and other services.

Of 353 action items, the panel says it is on track to achieve all but 27.

Brown says two of those goals may not be reached. One is a proposed pension incentive to attract teachers from other states.

The other is a state-subsidized mortgage program that hasn’t gained traction due to the volatile and unpredictable market for home loans.
