Williams named medical director of Family Help Center

Dr. Silvia O. Williams

Dr. Silvia O. Williams has been named medical director and staff psychiatrist of The Children’s Guild’s Family Help Center, which supports children struggling with stress and traumatic events in 26 schools in Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties.

Williams has 25 years of medical experience, including more than a decade of psychiatric medical experience. Previously she provided residential and outpatient child and adolescent psychiatric care at Villa Maria Continuum.

Williams also provided psychiatric care at the Weinberg Center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, the North Baltimore Center and Emergency Psychiatric Associates.

Education: M.D., National University of Cordoba (Argentina); post-grad study, Children’s Hospital of Cordoba; fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, and residency, University of Maryland Medical System.
