Prime Rib’s Beler to receive top culinary award

The event is part of the National Restaurant Association convention in Chicago.
After graduating from law school Beler spent two years in the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany, serving in military intelligence.
He then practiced law before he and his brother Nick founded the restaurant in 1965. They later opened Prime Ribs in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
Beler has served on the boards of the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Maryland Restaurant Association.
