Young woman’s body found at bottom of trash chute

Baltimore police say the body of a woman has been found in a trash container in a downtown apartment building.

Officers say body of a woman believed to be in her 20s was found about 8 a.m. Sunday in the Park Charles in the 200 block of N. Charles St.

Detective Kevin Brown says there are no signs of foul play, but police are awaiting a ruling from the medical examiner.

The woman has not been identified.

In August 2010, a man died after apparently falling down the trash chute of the same high-rise, which houses apartments and offices.

A spokeswoman for Park Charles management could not immediately be reached for comment. In an email to tenants, management said there had been an incident in the community that resulted in death.
