BEL AIR — Authorities in Harford County say a 16-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father.
The Harford County sheriff’s office says deputies responded on Monday night to a report of domestic disturbance at a Bel Air home and found blood outside. Authorities say Robert C. Richardson III was arrested Tuesday morning.
The teenager is accused of shooting his father and driving to a relative’s house in Aberdeen to dispose of the body. Authorities say the body of 58-year-old Robert C. Richardson Jr. was found partially submerged in a body of water behind the relative’s house.
The boy is being held without bail at the Harford County detention center.
A court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. It’s not known if he has an attorney.
