Sternstein joins Rifkin, Livingston, Levitan & Silver

Alan B. Sternstein

Alan B. Sternstein has joined the litigation practice of Rifkin, Livingston, Levitan & Silver. He will work from the firm’s Bethesda office.

Sternstein’s concentration has been in the area of complex commercial litigation in both state and federal trial and appellate courts; he has litigated, tried and appealed cases in partnership and contract disputes, receiverships, lender liability, telecommunications, construction and product liability cases.

He previously was a partner at Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, where he spent 22 years.

Sternstein had been a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, until Douglas retired, and then to Justice William J. Brennan Jr.

He serves on the Litigation Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association and its Appellate Committee.
