HAGERSTOWN — A mobile dentistry unit is promising to put “Healthy Smiles in Motion” for hundreds of Washington County children.
Sen. Ben Cardin is attending the kickoff Monday of the program at the Walnut Street Community Health Center.
The 39-foot vehicle will serve children at the county’s public schools and Head Start sites.
Cardin says he has worked to expand children’s access to oral health care. He sponsored a provision in the 2009 Children’s Health Insurance Program that guaranteed dental care.

That is an excellent way to teach kids about early dentistry such as brushing and flossing!
