O’Malley names special secretary on minority affairs

ANNAPOLIS — Gov. Martin O’Malley has appointed Zenita Wickham-Hurley as special secretary of the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs.
O’Malley announced the appointment on Thursday.
Wickham-Hurley will assume her new role on Feb. 29. She will oversee efforts to expand opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses in the state.
Since 2007, she has served as the director of the Office of Minority Business Enterprise at the Maryland Department of Transportation.
