WASHINGTON — Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who heads the Democratic Governors Association, will take part in a conference with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, who heads the Republican Governors Association.

The second annual State Solutions Conference is being sponsored by Politico early Friday in Washington at the Newseum.

The event is being held as the National Governors Association comes to Washington for a winter conference in the nation’s capital.
