Kohn becomes Adelberg Rudow member

Thomas D. Kohn

Thomas D. Kohn has joined Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler as a member of the Baltimore firm.

Kohn focuses his practice on business and corporate law, civil and commercial litigation and franchise law. His clients range from small entrepreneurial businesses, including health care private practices, to large privately-held companies.

He previously was a principal in Lenrow, Kohn & Oliver PC, the firm he co-founded in 1995.

A past member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City’s professional ethics committee, Kohn serves on the Baltimore Jewish Community Center’s board of directors, as well as Beth El Congregation’s board of trustees.

Kohn received his law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Perfect day: Football Sundays. My wife, two teens and I all have Ravens season tickets. We start at the best tailgate (Otterbein Swim Club), scream ourselves hoarse at the game (standing on 3rd down!), order carry-out on the way home and watch highlights on Football Night in America.

Favorite vacation: Skiing in Utah. I’m not very good but always have a terrific time with the family and our great friends.

Hobby: Learning to play squash. My 15-year-old plays for his school and I’m tired of losing to him.

Favorite books: Any book written by Michael Lewis.

Favorite movie: “The Godfather” (is there any other choice?)

Favorite music: U2 and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band (R.I.P. Clarence). Both gave amazing concerts in Baltimore over the last year or so. Honorable mention: The Hippie Sheiks.

Favorite foods: Greenberg Potato Skins from the Prime Rib, Spicy Tuna Handroll from Joss Café and corned beef sandwich (lean on rye with mustard) from Attman’s Deli.

Favorite quotation: “If you don’t ask, you don’t get.” Google attributes it to Mahatma Gandhi, but my business law professor at Penn believed this was the essence of making a good business deal — knowing what you want and not being afraid to ask for it.
