Baltimore school police officers have cast a no-confidence vote in their chief, saying he’s ignored their concerns and shouldn’t be running the department.

The vote by union members against Chief Marshall “Toby” Goodwin took place last month.

The union president said in a letter to the schools chief executive that 84 of 110 officers made a “no confidence” vote against Goodwin.

It wasn’t immediately clear why the union made the decision, but more information is expected to come out at its next meeting next week.

The city school police department has about 140 officers.
