Members of the General Assembly’s Baltimore City delegation say they support a decision to replace the city’s speed cameras.

Senator Catherine Pugh tells WBAL News that the city’s decision, inspired by ticketing problems and inconsistencies involving the several dozen cameras around Baltimore, is a “step in the right direction.” She says she’d like to see the cameras “strategically located” but not necessarily in every neighborhood.

And Delegate Keiffer Mitchell says he still supports legislation to limit the use of the cameras to situations like a construction zone or when schools are in session.
