FLINTSTONE — The company that owns the Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort near Cumberland says employment there will nearly double when a casino opens in June.
The Cumberland Times-News reports that officials of Lakes Entertainment Inc. discussed their plans Thursday with local elected officials in Annapolis and Cumberland.
Rocky Gap General Manager Scott Just says the company will hire about 100 card dealers and table operators. He says the first of several job fairs will be held later this month.
Just says the casino will open with 550 slot machines and 10 table games. It’s licensed for up to 1,000 slots.
He says new conference space will open in the fall. Just says the new meeting space will exceed what was lost to the casino.
