Thomas to lead Howard Chamber project

The Howard County Chamber of Commerce has appointed Maureen Thomas as executive director of its GovConnects business-to-government initiative.
Thomas has more than 20 years of experience working in public-private sector relations and program management for clients in the government, small business and nonprofit sectors, including working within the intelligence community and as a Naval Reserve officer. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Notre Dame of Maryland, and a master’s degree in public management from the University of Maryland, College Park. GovConnects helps chamber members to take advantage of government-related business opportunities.
