Maryland State Police have charged the driver of a car that they say struck and killed a pedestrian in front of Baltimore’s City Hall.
Troopers say that 43-year-old Johnny Johnson has been charged with homicide by motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, and numerous other traffic and drug offenses in the April 9 crash. Johnson was arrested Monday.
Police say 45-year-old Matthew Hersl of Baltimore was struck by a car that ran a red light and overturned while trying to make a turn in front of City Hall. Hersl died at Shock Trauma.
