Travelers will now find a new security checkpoint at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
The new checkpoint and a secure walkway to other concourses opened Tuesday. The upgrades are the first phase of a major terminal enhancement program.
The new nine-lane checkpoint serving Concourses C, B, and A is the largest at the airport. The new walkway beyond the checkpoint at Concourse C allows passengers access to Concourses A and B.
Construction work on the connectors and other projects including improved airline gate hold rooms, the new food and retail concessions and an improved observation gallery will continue through the summer.
