I has just read that Tropicana has begun working with an online gambling / casino company so I am not surprised to learn that Maryland was getting into the “game” (no pun intended) and “follow suit” (pun intended). I agree with Mr. Karmel in that it will happen eventually, and then the complete, cross-state, legalization of USA online casinos. I think this legislation country wide would come even sooner, perhaps toward the end of 2014 because of the potential revenue gain with very little additional infrastructure needed.
