Sharity Bannerman joins the St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center’s Legal Department as a law clerk.
She is a third year law student at The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
Prior to attending law school, she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and a Master’s of Education at University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Additionally, she is the Student Volunteer Coordinator for the Right to Housing Alliance, Alumni Chair of the Maryland Public Interest Project, and Supervising Student Attorney at JustAdvice Clinic.
She was recently awarded the A.J. Cooper Award by the Black Law Students Association. The award is presented to a UM Carey Law student who has demonstrated a commitment to the Baltimore community and furthered the distinguished legacy of the Black Law Students Association.
Sharity aspires to work in child advocacy and public interest law after earning her Juris Doctor.
