MissionTix announced Wednesday that its new CEO will be Greg Cangialosi.
The new leadership was no secret — Cangialosi said he would be taking on the role in an interview with The Baltimore Sun last month. He listed it as one of three jobs.
According to a release from MissionTix, the Baltimore techie has plans to reinvigorate the brand with new ideas and technological innovation.
“This is a great opportunity because MissionTix combines three things that I’m passionate about – marketing, technology and live events,” Cangialosi said in the release. “It’s also a unique challenge because MissionTix is 13 years old but we are going back to a start-up mentality.”
The job also fits in well with Cangialosi’s local ties — the co-founder of Betamore and managing member of the Baltimore Angels will be working for another Baltimore-born venture, which serves hot local events like the Charm City Folk and Bluegrass Festival and the Baltimore Food Truck Gathering.
