A potato is good for many things – eating, for example, and giving human features.
But crime accessory?
Police in Rhode Island are looking for a man who attempted to rob two stores Monday with a potato. A Providence TV station says the man “wielded the potato” in a dry cleaning business.
As if the story couldn’t get any better, the only money in the registers was a counterfeit $20 bill, according to the TV station. The would-be robber eventually left the business, although it was unclear if he took the fake cash with him.
The man also went to a gas station, where workers “scared him away with a bat.” Because, as we all learned in elementary school, bat beats potato.
Police are still trying to ketchup with the man.
