Micros Systems Inc. has purchased its Columbia headquarters building from Columbia Property Trust.
For an undisclosed amount, Micros, which sells point-of-sale systems in the hospitality industry, bought the five-story building in the Columbia Gateway Business Park. The company previously leased the property.
Oracle Corp. announced last week that it would buy Micros for $5.3 billion. Following the announcement, Howard County executive Ken Ulman said that Oracle had committed to keeping business in Columbia and growing the operations there.
