The National Aquarium is jumping on the Star-Spangled bandwagon, offering a reduced admission price on Fridays after 5 p.m. of $18.12.
That’s nearly half off the normal adult admission of $34.95. The deal is valid Fridays through Sept. 12.
The aquarium will also have a Star-Spangled Banner-themed scavenger hunt for families. On Sept. 10, it will host a panel lecture about the Battle of Baltimore.
The aquarium is not alone in its zeal to participate in the Star-Spangled Summer events. Several institutions have events all summer long, including the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, which created an exhibit about the flag, and Fort McHenry .
While the $18.12 price is certainly a discount, it’s not as much of a steal as the aquarium’s fall and winter “Fridays After Five” program–set to return Sept. 19–which offered $12 admission.
