Prince George’s County District Judge Tiffany Hanna Anderson has been named as administrative judge for District 5, Prince George’s County. Anderson succeeds Judge Thomas J. Love, who has retired after 17 years on the bench. Anderson was appointed to the District Court by Gov. Martin O’Malley in August 2008. Anderson is the first woman and first African-American woman to serve as administrative judge for the Prince George’s County District Court. Before becoming a judge, Anderson was a partner at the law firm of Funk & Bolton P.A. She began her legal career as an associate with Gabriel J. Christian and Associates. She also served as an assistant state’s attorney in Prince George’s County and then as legislative counsel and legislative director to the county executive for Prince George’s County.
