Senate OKs bill honoring Harriet Tubman

The U.S. Senate has approved a bill creating two national historical parks, one in Maryland, the other in New York, to honor Harriet Tubman, who escaped slavery to become a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad, rescuing escaped slaves during the Civil War era.
