Karyl B. Leggio, dean of Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business, has been elected to the board of directors for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer degrees in business and accounting. Leggio has led the Sellinger School since 2008, implementing new programs including Loyola’s first accredited accelerated MBA program, the Emerging Leaders MBA, a Master’s in Accounting program and an accounting certificate program. Leggio serves on the following boards: the Archdiocese of Baltimore Archbishop’s Board of Financial Advisors, the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, the Downtown Partnership, the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools and BB&T in Baltimore. Prior to joining Loyola, Leggio was associate dean at the University of Missouri Kansas City, where she worked for eight years.
