Maryland Reporter, an Internet publication covering state politics, is taking a victory lap thanks to a Republican congressional candidate’s call on Twitter for conservatives to boycott the site.
The incident started after the site posted a column attacking Maryland Republicans for their treatment of young immigrants crossing the country’s southern border. That’s when Dan Bongino, who is running in the 6th Congressional District, urged supporters not to visit the site:

It now appears that Bongino’s tactic backfired, as the website received exposure on WBAL radio and received some of its highest traffic since the end of the General Assembly session.
So, editor Len Lazarick decided to post a thank you note of sorts this morning touting the number of page views and newsletter subscribers since the boycott started. Bongino was not impressed with the thank you:
Sad to see @lenlazarick double-down on ignorance & then celebrate it.
