Five physical therapy practices in the mid-Atlantic have joined forces and will now operate as Pivot Physical Therapy, based in Towson.
The new organization is comprised of: Professional SportsCare & Rehab; Maryland SportsCare & Rehab; Professional Physical Therapy & SportsCare; Southern Delaware Physical Therapy; and Littlestown Physical Therapy & SportsCare. The five practices together have more than 60 clinics across five states and Washington D.C.
“Uniting under one organization enables us to leverage the strength and expertise of our significant company-wide resources in each of the communities we serve,” said Gary Katz, the organization’s CEO, in a statement.
Katz said the organization has “an aggressive growth strategy” that includes plans to open new clinics in the mid-Atlantic as well as in other states.
Pivot employs more than 500 physical therapists, certified athletic trainers and support staff. They specialize in athletic injuries, general orthopedics, post-operative care, total joint rehab, spine care, hand therapy and other areas. They will also provide fitness training and wellness consultations.
“We chose the name Pivot Physical Therapy as it suggests movement and a turning point toward recovery and good health,” Katz said in the statement. “While we have formed a larger company, we remain hometown therapists providing world-class physical therapy where you live, work and play.”
