Baltimore School for the Arts has named Mary Evans as assistant principal for student support. Evans has more than 20 years of experience in education. She began her career instructing choral and instrumental music courses in Indiana public schools as well as college-level courses to incarcerated men in Ohio before relocating to Baltimore. She began her tenure with the Baltimore City Public School System in 1998 and went on to a teaching position at the Alternative Learning Center in 1999. Evans most recently had concluded her eighth year at Patterson High School, where she primarily worked with ninth graders as well as supervised the student support team and special education department.
