Kornblatt Co. celebrates 50th anniversary

The Kornblatt Company recently celebrated its 50th anniversary at its newly renovated St. Paul Conference Plaza Center.

Through the past five decades, the real estate company has developed several downtown Baltimore structures, including the Paca Pratt building, St. Paul Plaza and 25 South Charles. It currently manages St. Paul Plaza.

Chairman David Kornblatt’s achievements were celebrated at the event along with his 87th birthday. In recognition of what he has accomplished, the 200 block of St. Paul Street was honorably named, David W. Kornblatt Way.

Eighty-eight guests attended, including numerous commercial real estate professionals, St. Paul Plaza tenants, Kornblatt Company vendors and many public figures such as former Attorney General Joe Curran, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Comptroller Peter Franchot. Master of ceremonies was Kornblatt Company president and chief executive officer Tim Polanowski.

The evening began with networking over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a seated dinner and presentations to David Kornblatt. Company photos and newspaper articles were scrolled in a rolling video presentation, and a live jazz combo and photo booth added to the evening’s fun.

Guests also enjoyed tours of the new conference center, which features five different meeting rooms encompassing 3,690 square feet, floor-to-ceiling views of the downtown skyline, and state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.

“I was very happy to be part of such a classy event, and I enjoyed the company of everyone who attended,” David Kornblatt said. “I am looking forward to our 75th anniversary party.”
