Baltimore-based architecture firm DDG recently celebrated the grand opening of the mixed-use Bintaro Jaya Exchange in Jakarta.
The eco-friendly project includes 2.5 million square feet of retail, 2 million square feet of residential space and 800,000 square feet of hospitality area. The development also includes an extreme sports arena, open-air concert venue and landscaped pedestrian pathways.
“Bintaro Jaya Xchange is almost literally at the center of it all. It is immediately adjacent to several main high-traffic roads wrapping around the outskirts of the site and is easily accessible through a nearby commuter train station.” Ahsin Rasheed, chairman, CEO and president of DDG, said in a news release.
DDG is involved in commercial developments around the world ranging from National Harbor near Washington, D.C., to the Mall of of Istanbull.
