The Maryland Energy Administration has begun accepting applications for its Natural Gas Refilling Station GrantProgram. The program is intended to boost the number of gas stations in the state that offer refueling of natural gas vehicles. The program is funded through the Strategic Energy Investment Fund in partnership with the MEA, Maryland Clean Cities Coalition, Maryland Department of Environment and Gladstein Neandross & Associates. The program will provide financial assistance to one or more eligible applicants. Successful applicants must propose a location that extends the range and reach of natural gas vehicles along transportation corridors, such as major highways, shipping routes and population centers. All submissions must be received by Jan. 12.
