Project Opportunity, a free entrepreneurship class for veterans, returns to Howard County this fall. Project Opportunity, started on the Eastern Shore in 2010 by retired Army Master Sgt. Joe Giordano, has partnered with the Howard County Economic Development Authority. The program is a 10-week intensive course that offers training, outreach services, technical assistance and financing opportunities to veterans who are considering starting a business or expanding their current small business. Project Opportunity will hold an orientation session on Sept. 10 at the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship in Columbia. For more information, visit www.project-opportunity.com.
