Ted’s Montana Grill will open its first restaurant in Maryland on Oct. 5 at the Downtown Crown shopping center in Gaithersburg. The new restaurant will be the third in the D.C. area, the 46th location overall. The new location will bring bring more than 70 jobs to the Gaithersburg area, the company said in a press release.
“At Ted’s Montana Grill, we are passionate about serving authentic food with honest ingredients, and welcoming guests with genuine hospitality,” said George McKerrow, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ted’s Montana Grill, said in the press release. “We look forward to bringing our Big Sky Spirit to Gaithersburg.”
Ted’s Montana Grill specializes in bison and was founded by Ted Turner in 2002 and is based in Atlanta.
The Gaithersberg restaurant, which will be located at 105 Ellington Blvd., will feature a 5,032 square-foot interior representing a classic 19th century saloon with wood-paneled walls, open-air doors, tin-pressed ceilings and mosaic-tiled floors. The restaurant will seat 136 guests in the dining room, and 62 guests in the outdoor patio. It will be open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will officially open to the public on Oct. 5 at 4 p.m., per the press release.
