Merritt Properties has purchased the 121,414-square-foot Class A office building at 101 West Road for an undisclosed price.
The company announced its acquisition of the five-story LEED-EB-certified property on Wednesday. Merritt already owns 825,895 square feet of high-end office space in the Towson and Timonium areas, according to the company.
“Towson is a major employment center and a hub of a variety of businesses and corporate headquarters,” said Scott Dorsey, CEO of Merritt Companies, the parent of Merritt Properties. “In addition to representing a stable market, the area is growing rapidly as evidenced by many recent developments.”
At the time of the acquisition the property was 100 percent leased. There will be 2,174 square feet open for rent in the first quarter of next year. Tenants at the building include Comcast, Liberty Mutual and Robert W. Baird & Co.
