Dean A. Manson, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of the Germantown broadband satellite company Hughes Network Systems and parent company EchoStar Corp., has been named Outstanding Chief Legal Officer by the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association. Manson won the award for integrating the legal departments of EchoStar and Hughes after the 2011 acquisition of Hughes by EchoStar.

David B. Rudow, member of Baltimore’s Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler LLC has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2013 Baltimore Corporate Law Lawyer of the Year.
