Alexander Pyles covers state government, transportation and the economy for The Daily Record.

He was previously sports editor and then local editor for Patch websites in Baltimore County. Before that, he reported for The (Wilmington, Del.) News Journal and The Baltimore Sun.

Alexander holds a master’s degree in online journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he was editor of the weekly student newspaper.
