Alexander Pyles

Alexander Pyles covers state government, transportation and the economy for The Daily Record.

He was previously sports editor and then local editor for Patch websites in Baltimore County. He graduated in 2011 with a master’s degree in online journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Media and Communication Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

An avid distance runner, Alexander also occasionally attempts to break 100 on the golf course.
