Innovators make the extraordinary ordinary. They make the impossible possible. In many ways, they turn dreams into realities. Hailing from fields as diverse as technology, education, community work and health, their work heralds new frontiers for how we live, work, play and give back in the 21st century. The Innovator of the Year award shines a light on the men and women who have created new products, services or programs that have improved their fields. The Daily Record is searching for Maryland innovators whose achievements have been realized between June 2011 and June 2013.
