On May 3rd, The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women award program celebrated 15 years. To honor all of the women who have been recognized The Daily Record will launch a new event – Leading Women, Maryland’s Future.

Top 100 Women honors women who are at the pinnacle of their career and making a sustained impact on their business, community and our state. We believe it is time to connect those women with the next generation of women leaders — Maryland’s future.

Leading Women will identify fifty women who are forty years old or younger, for the tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their career. They will be judged on professional experience, community involvement and a commitment to inspiring change.

The 50 honorees will become part of a select group that will be invited to attend two exclusive events in 2011. The first will be with all of the Circle of Excellence honorees and the second will be with Top 100 Women honorees. These will not be public events. The only guests will be the 50 leading women, a limited number of sponsors and women who have achieved Top 100 or Circle of Excellence status. These events will each focus on a topic important to the leading women with lots of networking time to create professional relationships to help the leading women excel in their careers.

The organizations that sponsor Leading Women are honoring Maryland’s future women leaders and providing an opportunity for women to learn from each other and build mentoring relationships to last a lifetime.
