To pay, or not to pay (your Ravens playoff ticket invoice)
The e-mail came last Wednesday: Because the Ravens were once again playing “meaningful” games in December, as a PSL owner I had the opportunity to send the team nearly $900 for four tickets to two potential home playoff games.
I had to decide before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
If the Ravens had beaten Pittsburgh last Sunday night, it would have been an easy decision. They would have had what amounted to a two-game lead in the AFC North with four games to play. They would have had a very good chance of playing at least one playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium. But they lost to the Steelers.
If the Ravens had lost to the Texans Monday night, it also would have been an easy decision. Even if they made the playoffs, there would have been a very slim chance of them playing host to a playoff game. But they beat the Texans.
So, with the 5 p.m. deadline staring me in the face, I had a big decision — pony up or not.
I ended up biting the bullet and sending my money. But I sure wish the deadline would have been after this Sunday’s game against the Saints. (And it’s not like I’m losing the money. If the Ravens end up not having a home playoff game, the $900 gets credited toward next year’s season tickets.)
Other PSL owners, have you paid up?
