Melody Simmons Melody Simmons is a veteran Baltimore reporter. She has worked as a staff writer for The Evening Sun and The Sun and as a freelancer for WYPR and WEAA prior to joining the staff of The Daily Record.

Maria Zilberman Maria Zilberman covers general business for The Daily Record. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Philip Merrill College of Journalism, she interned for the paper in 2009 and joined the staff in January 2012. She has written for the Naples Daily News, Huffington Post Investigative Fund and News21 national online reporting project. In her spare time she enjoys scrolling through Pinterest, baking and yoga. |

Jon Sham
Jon Sham grew up in Rochester, New York and attended the University at Buffalo where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English. Having grown weary of the upstate New York weather, he then moved to Maryland to complete a master’s program in online journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. Moving further south, he then took a job at WAVY-TV in Norfolk, Va. Jon enjoys going to concerts, shooting pool, comedy and old movies. He has been with The Daily Record since August 2010. |
