McCarthy promoted to vice president at Remedi SeniorCare

Sean McCarthy has been promoted to vice president of software development at Remedi SeniorCare, one of the country’s leading institutional pharmacies for long-term care.

McCarthy will lead the software development team in creating business requirements for Paxit, Remedi’s proprietary automated medication dispensing system, and the My Remedi web portal, as well as implementing all third-party systems critical to the organization.

He reports to Remedi’s senior vice president of information systems, Rob Kerr.

With over ten years of experience in software development in long-term care, McCarthy joined the Remedi team in July 2009. During his time with the organization, he has worked to establish a streamlined process for software development and delivery to support innovation and evolution of the long-term care pharmacy business.

McCarthy has built a high functioning development and quality assurance team that has created, maintained and updated the My Remedi customer portal, Remedi’s ConnexitTM electronic data interchange application, and built a foundation for future customer solutions that will continue to enhance Remedi’s contribution to the market in 2013 and beyond.

McCarthy joined Remedi from the Artomick Software Group where he worked to build an electronic medication administration record for long-term care facilities. Prior to Artomick, he worked with SmartShopper Magazine and NeighborCare.
